If one looks at the densho from Omori Ryu, Hasegawa Eishin Ryu, and Shigenobu Ryu (have experience only looking at Shinmomura ha's densho so I will draw my experience from there) you will see terms like iaihyoho (居合兵法）, iaijutsu(居合術）, battojutsu （ 抜刀術）, and tachiiaijutsu(太刀居合術）. Nakayama Hakudo introduced the term Iaido in the the early 1900s. One can say that the term Iaijutsu was really introduced and popularized by Hayashizaki Shigenobu.
